Filmmaker, writer, actor and executive producer of movies, TV series and internationally awarded campaigns. At the age of 40, he has more than 37 years of entertainment and advertising experience. Rafael was awarded as director at Promax Global Excellence 2022 and Promax Latin America 2022.
He is director of the movies Herchcovitch; Exposto (HBO - MAX), All That Drag (NBCUniversal) and O Invisível (Soon). Rafael is the creator of the TV series Pericia Lab (AXN), Cinelab Aprendiz (Universal Channel/ Syfy), Missão AXN (AXN) and Na Corrida (History Channel), author of the book Manual do Jovem Cineasta (Ciranda Cultural) and executive producer of 04 acclaimed documentaries about women empowerment produced by NBCUniversal.
Throughout his career, he gave life to more than 120 TV series' episodes as a director, over 250 episodes as an actor and host, plus more than 10,000 promos as creative director and has been seen on stage by over the 100 thousand people.
Rafa grew up on set. At the age two, he started his career riding a Mickey tricycle in a commercial, subsequently leading to various other advertising campaigns. At age nine, starred in the play O Céu Tem Que Esperar (Heaven Must Wait by Paul Osborn) alongside Paulo Autran, the greatest Brazilian actor of all time - who called Rafael the best actor of his generation in an interview. At that same time, Rafa became a host on X-Tudo, a classic TV show broadcast nationwide by TV Cultura.
In 2005 he completed a degree in film. After that, he directed music videos, campaigns and TV series for some of the most influential global media companies.
Since 2014, he is partner and creative director in Mood Hunter, a creative agency based in the U.S, Brazil and Colombia. Among its clients are Disney, Paramount, Meta, NBCUniversal, Sony Pictures, Amazon and Warner Bros Discovery.
